New Spring = New & Seasoned Students to Last Dog Fridays

Spring, a time of replenishment, has introduced a new set of students. We all remember our first weeks in the program, slowly making friends as we acclimate to each other in our CAL or Clinical tracks. Now's a great time, while all is fresh, to include Last Dog Fridays into your schedule.

Last Dog Fridays are days where we get together to socialize outside of class. This student group was founded on the premise that students needed a place outside of class to have a more CAL oriented conversation and where student minds could meet for program enhancement. The creation of the School of Social Work Twitter account is an example of change with which CALUTSC has assisted.

It has since acquired the enriching element of networking, which is done with your track peers, different tracked peers (who you only see in passing in the hallways), and alumni(!). This group has a great set of alumni who appreciate the concept that enhancing the program today will positively influence everyone's credentials, past, present, & future.

So, mark your calendars for the LAST FRIDAY of each month as a time to meet at the Dog 'n' Duck Pub from 6-8pm. Invite someone you've just briefly met and do the get-to-know-you.

We'll see you on the 29th! at Guadalupe and 17th Street, 6-8pm

Happy New Year,
calutsc
